This axe is a replica of a Viking axe found near the Geil brothers' factory. It probably dates back to before 1000 BC and was undoubtedly a versatile household tool. Thanks to its excellent features and functional design, it is as effective today as it was 1000 years ago. The design has not changed, but has been improved in various ways. The quality of the steel and blade has been improved and optimized, while retaining the original properties of the axe.
This is a beautiful, original and versatile axe, easy to use, durable and practical.
With this axe, Øyo won the international Nordic Outdoor Award (SOA) 2021.
The jury consisted of the most experienced European travel and outdoor journalists. They particularly appreciated the great power of the axe, despite its small size.
